Chocolate Fingers
Makes 12
Description/Notes:
Luscious chocolate fingers with a creamy filling.
Ingredients:
6 oz. (150g) plain flour 1 oz. (25g) cocoa 3 oz. (75g) butter 1 small egg 3 oz. castor sugar cream frosting (see cream frosting recipe a little vanilla essence quarter tsp. salt
Cooking Instructions:
- Pre-heat oven to 375F, Gas Mark 5, 190C
- Sift the flour, salt and cocoa together
- Cream the butter and sugar until light
- Beat the egg together with a few drops of vanilla essence and add to the creamed mixture
- Mix in the sifted dry ingredients
- Turn the dough on to a lightly floured board and knead lightly
- Roll to a thickness of three quarters of an inch, prick with a fork and cut into oblongs
- Bake in the pre-heated oven for 10-15 minutes
- Sandwich the fingers with cream frosting
