Cherry Buns
Description/Notes:
Just the job to fill that empty corner in your lunch box or picnic basket
Ingredients:
4 oz. (100g) butter or margerine 5 oz. (125g) sugar 10 oz. (250g) plain flour 1 egg 3 tbsp. Milk pinch of salt 2 oz.(50g) glace cherries 2 rounded tsps. baking powder
Cooking Instructions:
- Pre-heat oven to 350F, Gas Mark 4, 180C
- Cream together the butter and sugar
- Add the beaten egg and the milk
- mix in the sifted flour, baking powder, chopped cherries and salt
- Put the mixture into small cake cases, placing a cherry on top of each bun
- Bake in the pre-heated oven for 15-20 minutes
