Butterscotch Walnut Brownies
Makes about 16 brownies
Description/Notes:
Have a break, have a butterscotch brownie for a change
Ingredients:
4 oz. (125g) brown sugar 4 oz. (125g) butter 3 oz. (75g) self-raising flour 2 eggs beaten 2 oz. (50g) walnuts, chopped 1 teaspoon (5 ml) vanilla essence
Cooking Instructions:
- Pre-heat oven to 325f, Gas Mark 3, 170C
- Grease a 7 inch (18 cm.) square baking tin
- Cream together the sugar and butter until fluffy
- Beat in the eggs and add the vanilla essence
- Fold in the flour, add the walnuts and mix well
- Spoon the batter on to the baking tin and bake in the pre-heated oven for 35-40 minutes
- Cut into squares when cool
