Sweet and Sour Barbecue Chicken
Serves 4
Description/Notes:
Mouth-watering drumsticks, great for parties and barbecues
Ingredients:
8 chicken drumsticks 2 tablespoons (30ml) clear honey 4 tablespoons (60ml) red wine vinegar 2 tablespoons (30ml) soy sauce 2 cloves of garlic, crushed 2 tablespoons (30ml) tomato sauce salt and pepper pinch of cayenne pepper 1 tablespoon (15ml) Worcestershire sauce
Cooking Instructions:
- Make several slits in the drumstick skins with a sharp sauce
- Place the drumsticks in a shallow dish
- Mix together the vinegar, soy sauce, tomato paste, garlic, cayenne, seasoning, Worcestershire sauce and honey
- Pour this mixture over the drumsticks and marinade for a couple of hours or overnight
- Grill drumsticks for about 20 minutes, brushing with the marinade and turning occasionally
- Serve hot or cold with salad or pasta
