Recipe: Cinnamon Apple Crunch

Description/Notes:

Easy to cook spicy apple dessert.

Ingredients:

  • 2 lb. (1kg) cooking apples, peeled and cut into thick slices
  • 8 oz. (225g) porridge oats
  • 4 oz. (100g) margarine
  • 2 oz. (50g) caster sugar
  • 1 tsp. Cinnamon
  • Cooking Instructions:

    1. Pre-heat oven to 330F, Gas Mark 2, 150C
    2. Arrange apples in an ovenproof dish then sprinkle then with sugar
    3. Warm the margarine in a saucepan and when melted stir in the cinnamon and porridge oats
    4. Spread the mixture over the apples and bake for 40-45 minutes
