Scotch Eggs
Serves 4
Description/Notes:
It just wouldn't be a proper picnic without these savoury eggs
Ingredients:
4 hard boiled eggs 12 oz. (350g) sausage meat 2 tablespoons of flour 1 egg 4 tablespoons of milk
Cooking Instructions:
- Shell the boiled eggs and coat lightly with flour
- Divide the sausage meat in to 4 portions and cover each egg as evenly as possible with it
- Beat the egg, add milk, then coat each wrapped egg carefully with the egg mixture and breadcrumbs
- Fry in deep fat for about 10 minutes, allowing time for the sausage meat to cook well
