Day of the Dead Spicy Beef Tacos

Description/Notes:
No Halloween party is complete without a Mexican Day of the Dead dish so why not spice up your evening with these tasty tacos
Ingredients:
10 taco shells 1 small lettuce 2 firm tomatoes 1lb.(450g) minced beef 1 tsp. plain flour 1 small green pepper one quarter pint of beef stock 1 medium onion 1-2 tsp chilli powder pinch of garlic powder 1 tbs. tomato puree pinch of salt sour cream for dressing
Cooking Instructions:
- Skin and finely chop the onion then mix with the minced beef
- Gently fry the beef mixture until browned then stir in the flour and fry about a minute
- Stir in the stock, tomato puree and seasonings
- Dice and de-seed the green pepper then stir into the beef mixture
- Bring to the boil then reduce heat and simmer for about 15 minutes, stirring occasionally
- Meanwhile wash and shred the lettuce and dice the tomato finely
- Divide the mince mixture between the taco shells, garnish with lettuce and tomato then top with a little sour cream and serve
