Recipe: Banana and Chocolate Cream

Description/Notes:

A handy sweet that can be made well in advance of that little intimate dinner for two leaving you lots of time for yourself.

Ingredients:

1 large banana, peeled and sliced

2-3 tbsps. double cream for decorating

half a pint of milk

1 oz. sugar

1 oz. drinking chocolate

1 oz. Cornflour

Cooking Instructions:

1. Put the drinking chocolate and cornflour in a bowl then add sufficient milk to mix into a paste
2. Warm the remaining milk together with the sugar in a saucepan until nearly boiling then pour over the blended chocolate paste
3. Return to the saucepan and stirring continuously, return to the boil and cook until thickened
4. Divide the banana between two sundae dishes, pour over the chocolate sauce and leave to cool
5. Decorate with the whipped cream and serve
