These mini toad in the holes are just great for kids, especially served hot with baked beans


  • 18 cocktail sausages
  • 2 tablespoons cucumber relish
  • 1 egg
  • 4 oz. (100g ) plain flour
  • half a pint ( 285 ml. ) milk
  • salt and ground black pepper
  • Cooking Instructions:

    1. Pre-heat oven to 425F, Gas Mark 7, 220C
    2. Place 12 well greased patty tins in the oven for 10 minutes
    3. Whisk egg, flour, seasoning and half the milk together until smooth
    4. Whisk in the rest of the milk
    5. Grill the sausages for 5 minutes then slice in half lengthways
    6. Place 3 sausage strips in each patty tin and top with a little relish
    7. Pour over the batter
    8. Bake in the pre-heated oven for about 20-25 minutes till risen then turn out
